Danielle Stuffo
For Mount Laurel School Board 2022
Hello! My name is Danielle Stuffo and I am asking for your vote this November. I have been on the school board since 2020 and became the president of the Board of Education in January 2022. I hope that with your support I can continue to do my best for the students and community members of Mount Laurel. I was on the PTO at Larchmont Elementary for 4 years prior to serving on the school board.
About Me
I am a resident of Mount Laurel for 15 years. I am a co-founder of the charity the Recovery Chair that has served hundreds of women and men throughout the tri state area in helping them recover from mastectomies. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in education from Rowan University.
Why The School Board?
I am a mother of three children, two of which are diverse learners. My husband is a native of Mount Laurel and attended Mount Laurel Schools. When we married, he insisted that we live in Mount Laurel for the world class education. I am committed and determined to making sure that all of the children in our district are provided with the tools they need to succeed.
Since 2020 I have served on the Curriculum Committee, the Finance Committee and am the current liaison for the PTOs. Serving in these positions I have developed an understanding and respect for all parties involved in making sure that our district meets all standards that are required. We make sure ALL our students have the tools they need to be successful in their educational endeavors.
If I am re-elected I will continue to make sure that Mount Laurel Public Schools continue to operate in an efficient and flawless manner. I believe the key to a successful district is to have a cohesive board where we respect each other’s opinions, but get the job done for the students, the community and the tax payers.
Where Do I Stand?
I stand with the students, community members and tax payers. I will continue to “set policies, goals and objections for the district which holds the superintendent responsible.” Many people that are running against me do not have a full understanding of the school board’s job and responsibilities. They are running to climb the political ladder. This is a non-partisan board and we need to continue to keep politics out of education. As a school board member I have a duty “to represent the concerns of the citizens, taxpayers and parents of the community.” I will continue to give my undivided attention to make sure that all of my obligations are fulfilled.
If Re-Elected, I Promise…
- To use reason, logic, facts and good judgement to determine the best course of action when making decisions that effect our schools.
- To do my best to not get swept up in highly charged or emotional issues as they arise and to always do my due diligence in coming up with the best possible solutions.
- To allow time for cooler heads to prevail and facts to come to light before taking action that can have long term consequences for our schools.
- To provide our students with a safe, equitable environment to learn and to grow as they move through our district and on to their future endeavors.
- To consider the needs and opinions of all of the members of our community when making decisions and to serve Mount Laurel, it’s people and our schools.
